WHAT IS SOCIAL ENGINEERING?
Social engineering is a type of cyber attack that manipulates people into giving up confidential information or performing actions that compromise security. Instead of hacking systems, attackers exploit human trust, fear, or curiosity.

KEY TECHNIQUES USED IN SOCIAL ENGINEERING
1) Phishing
Fake emails or messages that appear legitimate to steal login details or data.
2) Pretexting
Creating a false story or identity (e.g., pretending to be IT support) to gain trust.
3) Baiting
Luring victims with something attractive, like free downloads or USB drives.
4) Tailgating
Gaining physical access by following someone into a restricted area.
5) Impersonation
Pretending to be a trusted person such as a manager, vendor, or authority figure.
